Baby boy album

Hello!

I finished another project from Scraptastic event, this was the last workshop I took and couldn’t finish it because I needed to get ready and go to the airport.

The workshop was called 'Once upon a time...' and was taught by Evelien Verschelde. She was organizing the event and did a great job, and the workshop was fantastic as well.

I wanted to add a few more pages to fit more photos, so I used almost everything from the kit. I’m very happy with the results.

I made a video with the photos I took of the album…I hope you like it.

Dani at a scrapbooking class

 Hello!

Today we had a very interesting day; Daniela attended a scrapbooking class at Bambola Casa Creativa and she had a blast. She was so excited that she could not sleep yesterday.

I took her to the class and the girls there were so friendly that she immediately sat down and let me go. When I returned to pick her up she had done a beautiful job and was very proud it. Then she said she wanted to come to many more classes ... here I show you photos. It was a Halloween layout, our picture was not Halloween related but it worked nicely.

I think her work will soon exceed mine ...

Mini album: Tata's 100 years old

Hello!

Today I’m posting a mini album I made for my husband’s grandmother, she just turned 100 years old and I wanted to give her a special present.

It’s a mini album in a box, which I also decorated. The best part of the album is a page that I added quotes from her, I asked around and we all came up with a list of things she always says…she loved the page, and it was great fun for the family to read it.

Here are a few pictures…

Workshops with Donna Downey

Hello!!! I'm so happy to share this new project with you...

I attended 3 workshops with Donna Downey last weekend and I'm extremely happy to have done it. It was worth it!

The event was organized by Bambola Casa Creativa, and they did a great job, thank you girls!

The first workshop was called: Paint.Watercolor.Doodle. And that’s what we did…paint, watercolor…and the doodling was done at home because we didn’t have time to get there.

I really enjoyed it and love the results. I finished it with the help of my 4 year-old daughter, who kept asking me questions about how my teacher knows how to make all this cool stuff.

I made a video to show you the album.

The other 2 workshops were great as well, but I still need to work some more to show you everything.

Scraptastic 2010: You make me smile

When I signed up for the Scraptastic Event I wanted to try different things, I wanted to paint and try various techniques, that’s why I selected to 2 canvas painting projects: “Wonderland” (which I showed before) and “You make me smile”.

You make me smile” was about using Claudine Hellmuth’s Studio Line paints in different ways to make a pretty background, mixing colors, dripping water adding texture… We also finished painting the beautiful angel.

This workshop was taught by Tanya Watts, she’s great fun. She was in big pain because of a recent surgery, so I really appreciate her being there and sharing her ideas with us. We got to work very relaxed and at our own pace. It’s great to see how we all started with a blank canvas and we got to some pretty impressive results!

My daughter is very excited about hanging it on her bedroom wall.

Scraptastic 2010: Surprise workshop

This mini album was a surprise workshop they prepared for us at Scraptastic event.

It was very nice of them to do this, and the best part is that I got to finish it the same night; I can never finish a project during classes.

I really like how it turned out.

Scraptastic 2010: My indie child

Some more...
This was another workshop took at Scraptastic event. My Indie Child was done by Birgit Koopsen because its original techer, Tracie Hudson, couldn’t make it. Birgit made a cute layout and we all had fun, even though some of were complaining about the hand stitching…hahaha I love the results.

We worked with Sassafras products and made a dimensional layout. We have so much left over in the kit that I think I can make another 2 layouts…yes!

My layout is very similar to Birgit’s, I really liked her idea. But I have to say everybody had told me that the model on my picture makes it perfect ;)

Scraptastic 2010: Wonderland

This was the first workshop I took at Scraptastic Event, I was very excited and anxious to start. I wanted to have my breakfast as quick as possible and go see everything and start getting paint on my clothes..sorry, my hands…

I was glad to have my first class with Nathalie Kalbach, because I got to meet her the night before on our way from the airport to the hotel, so I already knew someone…She is so nice, as a person and as a teacher.

The workshop was called “Wonderland” , and we were to create a canvas: layers with acrylic paints, glimmer glam, beeswax, Tattered Angels, Prima Marketing, bling…She showed us various techniques and we had lots of fun, got very dirty (I still have some paint under my finger nails that I can’t get rid of…hahaha)

I really enjoyed this class because it made me do things out of my style; it pushed me try different techniques, colors, papers that I wouldn’t have chosen by myself. I’m really pleased with the results.

The best part is that I got to finish it because I had some free time right after this class, so I had my lunch right on the spot and kept working. What a good student! ;)

I’ll keep posting more projects I made at the event….
