A beautiful gift

Before leaving Spain I got a beautiful gift form my friends. My dear friend Cata made an album with pages that other friends made, it's awesome! and today I wanted to share it with everyone...Here I'm posting a few pictures.

Antes de irme de España mis amigas me hicieron un hermoso regalo. Mi querida amiga Cata hizo un album donde varias amigas hicieron páginas, les quedó genial! hoy quise compartirlo con todos...Aquí subo algunas fotos.

Dream Big

 It's been long since I don't post anything...I started working after our move and it's been really hard to get into our new routine. But today I wanted to share something I made while I was packing and organizing my scraproom a couple of months ago.

Hace tanto tiempo que no escribo...comencé a trabajar luego de nuestra mudanza y ha estado difícil acostumbrarnos a la nueva rutina. Pero hoy quería compartir algo que hice mientras empacaba y organizaba mi cuarto de scrap, hace un par de meses.

Slideshow album 40 Aniversario

Today I'm finally posting a video, actually a slideshow, about the album I made about 2 months ago for a 40th wedding anniversary. I didn't do much editing to it,  just added all the photos I took of the album, but at least I can show you a bit more of it.
Hoy por fin subo el video o presentación de fotos que hice del álbum que elaboré hace unos 2 meses para una aniversario de bodas de 40 años. No edité mucho el video, solo incluí todas las fotos que tomé, pero al menos puedo mostrarlo un poco mejor.



I received some nice presents from the family who ordered it and the one who received it. I was so happy, not only they sent nice cute things for my kids and I, but they really showed me they loved the album :)
Recibí unos regalos muy lindos de la familia que me pidió hacerlo y de la que lo recibió. Estaba muy feliz, no solo me enviaron cositas lindas para mis peques y para mi, sino que realmente me demostraron lo mucho que les gustó.

we moved! nos mudamos!

We have a new home...we've moved to Saudi Arabia. We keep on going on our world tour ;)
It will be an adventure and a huge change in our lives. We've been here for a couple of days so I still don't have much to tell. The kids are exploring the new apartment and a bit anxious to start school.
Tenemos un nuevo hogar...nos mudamos a Arabia Saudi. Continuamos nuestro tour mundial ;)
Será una aventura y un cambio muy grande en nuestras vidas. Solo hemos estado aquí un par de días así que todavía no tengo mucho que contar. Los niños están explorando su nuevo apartamento y un poco ansiosos por empezar el cole. 

All my crafts things are on the shipment, it should take about 6 weeks...it'll be a long time as toys, clothes and paint are really missed around here...oh and my expresso machine!
Todas mi cosas de manualidades están en la mudanza, que debería llegar en más o menos 6 semanas...va a ser una larga espera porque extrañamos mucho los juguetes, ropa y "pinturas"...ah y mi máquina de expresso.

Since I don't have my things to work with I'll be sharing some projects I made the last few weeks in Madrid, I didn't have time to post them as I was packing and packing, and packing a bit more. But as I was packing I found some projects that I couldn't resist to finish, and them keep on packing...
Como no tengo mis materiales para trabajar estaré compartiendo algunos proyectos que hice las últimas semanas en Madrid, no tuve tiempo de subirlas porque estaba empacando y empacando, y empacando otro poquito más. Pero mientras empacaba me encontré con proyectos a los que no me pude resistir terminar, y luego seguir empacando...

Album: 40 aniversario

A couple months ago I got a commission to make an album. It was a present for a 40^th wedding anniversary.

Hace un par de meses me hicieron un encargo para hacer un álbum, para un regalo de 40 años de aniversario de bodas. 

I experimented making the backgrounds with some resist techniques and spray inks and I really like the results. I used two different albums as my album’s base, the grungeboard album from Tim Holtz and a mini photo album from Artemio. I wanted to add interest with the different textures and pages shapes.

Experimenté un poco para hacer los fondos con técnicas de “resistir” y tintas en spray, la verdad que me encantó el resultado. Utilicé dos álbumes diferentes como base, el grungeboard album de Tim Holtz y un mini álbum de foto de Artemio. Quería darle mayor interés con distintas texturas y formas en las páginas.

 I made another card for this week's main color combo.
Hice otra tarjeta con el combo de colores principal de esta semana.

Love Card

Here is another card for the Summer Card Camp, the colors ended up a bit darker than the color combo for this week, I worked with spray inks and the color is really rich with those.

Esta es otra tarjeta para el Summer Card Camp, los colores son un poco más oscuros que los propuestos para esta semana,trabajé con tintas en spray que son colores bastante intensos.

 When we started  working on cards for the 4th week of Summer Card Camp 2011 Daniela and I love the color so much that we created a few cards with the same concept.
Cuando Daniela y yo comenzamos a trabajar en las tarjetas de la 4ta semana de Summer Card Camp 2011 nos gustaban tanto los colores que decidimos crear varias tarjetas con el mismo concepto.

Daniela has become a fan of Kristina Werner as she usually watches her card videos with me, you can tell by the dash lines...Sometimes when she wants to make a card she asks me to see the cards of "the lady on youtube" hahaha

Daniela se ha convertido en fan de Kristina Werner porque por lo general ve sus videos de tarjetas conmigo, las lineas de guiones lo dicen todo...A veces cuando quiere hacer una tarjeta ella me pide ver las tarjetas de "la señora de youtube" jajaja

Summer Card Camp 2011: week 4 by Daniela

This is Daniela's creation for this week, she liked the colors and had this wonderful idea. It was my inspiration for my first cards for this week.

Esta es la creación de Daniela para esta semana, le gustaron mucho los colores y se le ocurrió esta maravillosa idea. Fue mi inspiración para mis primeras tarjeras para esta semana.

 I love her dash lines, and she even did the stamp for the sentiment by herself and told me it was so close to the border because that's what she wanted ;)
Me encantan sus lineas de guiones, ella misma selló el mensaje de la tarjeta y me dijo que estaba tan pegado  al borde porque eso era lo que ella quería ;)
