¡Más Halloween!

I´ve been participating in the 30 day coloring challenge hosted by Kathy at thedailymarker.com It´s the 3rd edition of the challenge. I´ve been colouring like crazy every single day, but I´m not posting everything here because I wanted to make it easy for me, so I chose to share them on Instagram, it´s quick and easy. He estado participando en el reto de 30 días de colorear de Kathy en thedailymarker.com Es la 3ra edición del reto. He estado coloreando como loca todos los días, pero no estoy haciendo entradas en el blog porque quería hacerlo de manera sencilla, así que estoy compartiendo lo que hago a través de instagram, es rápido y fácil. On day 4 of the challenge I finished the painting and die cutting some bird crazy from Tim Holtz. I made 6 of them. I took 2 to make this card. I watercolored them using distress markers. Then die cut them twice, to layer the eyes, beak and wings. 

En el día 4 del reto terminé de colorear y troquelar los bird crazy de Tim Holtz. Hice 6 en total. Para estas tarjeta utilicé dos. Los pinté con distress markers usándolos como acuarelas. Luego los troquelé dos veces para poder superponer los ojos, picos y alas.

For the cute witches hats I got a stamp from Stephanie Barnard and stamped it on a piece of cardboard and heat embossed it with Vintage Amethyst Wow Embossing Powder. Then I fussy cut them.
Para hacer estos monos sombreritos de bruja utilicé un sello de Stephanie Barnard y lo sellé sobre un pedazo de cartón y le hice grabado con calor utilizando Vintage Amethyst Wow Embossing Powder. Y luego lo corté cuidadosamente con tijeras.

The sentiment and spiders were stamped with staz-on black ink using the same stamp set I used for the hat (it´s a very old stamp set). I drew the spider web strings using a thin black permanent marker. I also blended some tea dye distress ink around the card.
El mensaje y las arañas las hice con tinta negra de staz-on utilizando el mismo set de sellos que utilicé para los sombreros (es un set muy viejo). Los hilos de tela de araña donde cuelgan las arañitas los dibujé con un rotulador fino de tinta permanente negra. También le difuminé un poco de tinta distress color tea dye alrededor de la tarjeta.

The card looks gorgeous in real life, I had a hard time taking the photos to portray the real colors.
La tarjeta se ve espectacular en vida real, se me hizo muy difícil hacer una buena foto que mostrara bien los colores reales.

Happy Halloween Card

Today I´m sharing another Halloween card. A few weeks ago I ordered a skulls stencil by Dyan Reaveley, I had other plans for it but it came at the time I was thinking halloweeny stuff...so I made a background for my card using black distress ink with an ink blending tool.
Hoy comparto otra tarjeta de Halloween. Hace unas semanas hice un pedido de una plantilla de calaveras de Dyan Reaveley, tenía otros planes para esta plantilla pero cuando me llegó estaba pensando en cosas de Halloween...Así que hice un fondo para mi tarjeta con tinta distress negra y la herramienta de difuminar la tinta.

I didn't want to cover much of the skulls so I found an image on the internet with a cat´s silhouette and cut it out of black cardstock. I found many images I wanted to use: haunted houses, bats, spiders, etc. But I went of the cat. This is great because your not limited to the stamps you have, plus you can resize it to your desire or flip the image in case it fits better the other way.
No quería tapar mucho las calaveras así que solo le puse una silueta de un gato que encontré en internet y la corté en cartulina negra. Encontré muchas imágenes que quería utilizar: mansión embrujada, murciélagos, arañas, etc. Pero me decidí  por el gato. Esto es muy útil porque no estás limitada a los sellos que tengas, además que puedes variar el tamaño a lo que quieras o dar la vuelta a la imagen en caso que quede mejor de la otra forma. 

I also added some wink of Stella clear brush pen to the cat to give it some shimmer.
For the sentiment I used a stamp from Stephanie Barnard and heat embossed it with silver. I also blended some vintage photo distress ink around the sentiment to make stand out a bit.
También le puse un poco de brillo al gato con el rotulador wink of Stella clear brush.
Para el mensaje de la tarjeta utilicé un sello de Stephanie Barnard y con polvos plateados hice el grabado con calor. También difuminé un poco de tinta distress color vintage photo para resaltar las palabras.

Halloween Cards

 I made a couple of Halloween cards. I had the idea of drawing my own spider web, so I drew it with a versamark pen and white heat embossed it. I tried two effects, one with a light pressure on the pen and another with more defined and thicker lines. Both had good results.
Hice un par de tarjetas para Halloween. Tenía la idea de dibujar la telaraña, así que la hice con un rotulador Versamark y emboss de color blanco. Probé de dos maneras, una haciendo poca presión con el rotulador y otra con líneas más definidas y gruesas. Ambas me dieron buenos resultados. 

 Then I used Distress Inks and the distress tool to blend the ink for the background, I love to see how the embossed areas resist the ink and the design comes to live.
Luego utilicé tintas Distress y la herramienta para difuminar la tinta en el fondo, me encanta ver como la parte que tiene el emboss resiste la tinta y comienza a verse el diseño.

 For the sentiments and elements of the card I used a stamp set from Stephanie Barnard. I heat embossed them with black, then added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear brush pen to the hat and ghost.
Para los mensajes y elementos de las tarjetas utilicé un set de sellos de Stephanie Barnard. Los coloqué haciendo embossing con calor en negro, y luego le agregué algo de brillo al sombrero y al fantasma con un Wink of Stella clear brush pen.

Dani at a scrapbooking class

 Hello!


Today we had a very interesting day; Daniela attended a scrapbooking class at Bambola Casa Creativa and she had a blast. She was so excited that she could not sleep yesterday.

I took her to the class and the girls there were so friendly that she immediately sat down and let me go. When I returned to pick her up she had done a beautiful job and was very proud it. Then she said she wanted to come to many more classes ... here I show you photos. It was a Halloween layout, our picture was not Halloween related but it worked nicely.

I think her work will soon exceed mine ...
