Tags with different textures

These are 3 tags I made with my friend Isabel, she guided us to make 3 different textures with different media.
Estas son 3 tags que hice con mi amiga Isabel, nos guió para hacer 3 tags diferentes con texturas usando distintos materiales.

They are simple gorgeous, I haven´t used them on any project as I want them to be on a very special one. Love them!
Son hermosas, no las he utilizado en ningún proyecto todavía porque quiero que sea en uno muy especial. Me encantan!

St Patrick's Day

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's day!!
Even though we are in Spain my children's teachers are Irish, so my daughter and I decided we wanted to give them something special.
Mañana es el Día de San Patricio!!
A pesar de que estamos en España las profesoras de mis hijos son Irlandesas, así que mi hija y yo queríamos regalarles algo especial.

Jennifer McGuire shared a wonderful idea on her blog, my daughter (and I) loved it, so we decided to make something similar, I say similar because I skipped the baking part and added some gold Hersheys Kisses and some gold coins instead. 

Jennifer McGuire compartió una idea espectacular en su blog, a nosotras nos encantó, así que nos pusimos a hacer algo similar, y digo similar porque nos saltamos la parte de hornear y lo cambiamos por unos Hersheys kisses dorados y unas monedas doradas.

 They are very easy to make. The tone of green felt I had wasn't the right one, but still works. We added a little green tag that my kids signed.
Son muy fáciles de hacer. El tono de mi fieltro verde no era el más ideal, pero al final sirve. También le agregamos una etiqueta verde que mis niños firmaron.

I hope they like it. I know my kids will be very happy to bring something special to their Irish teachers on this very special day :)

Espero que les guste. Sé que mis hijos estarán muy felices que llevarles algo especial a sus profes Irlandesas en este día tan especial :)

Dream Big

 It's been long since I don't post anything...I started working after our move and it's been really hard to get into our new routine. But today I wanted to share something I made while I was packing and organizing my scraproom a couple of months ago.

Hace tanto tiempo que no escribo...comencé a trabajar luego de nuestra mudanza y ha estado difícil acostumbrarnos a la nueva rutina. Pero hoy quería compartir algo que hice mientras empacaba y organizaba mi cuarto de scrap, hace un par de meses.

Donna Downey Canvas Album

 I made this album at a workshop with Donna Downey in Madrid last year, it was a whole day of fun and learning, and sharing...just great!

It took me a while to finish it because it has many techniques, and I wanted to use them all...it was worth it!

Hice este album en un taller de Donna Downey en Madrid el año pasado, fue un día entero de diversión, aprendizaje, compartit...perfecto!

Me tomó bastante tiempo para terminarlo porque tenía muchas técnicas y las quería usar todas...valió la pena!

Colorful Designs Class: Assignment 1

I managed to finish my 1st assignment on time ;) I was supposed to use the primary colors...

Here is what I made, I think it can be one of my favorites.

Logré terminar mi primera tarea a tiempo ;) Debía utilizar los colores primarios...

Aquí tienen lo que hice, creo que se puede convertir en uno de mis favoritos.

Mini Album: Joa

A mini album I made with Basic Grey papers.

It was a present for my sister-in-law b-day.

Un mini album que hice con papeles de Basic Grey.

Fue un regalo de cumple para mi cuñada.

It’s a 3” square book made out of one 12” x 12” card stock. It’s one of those called “W” book, scoring the paper to make 16 squares, cutting a bit and accordion folding the book. The album ends up having 3 side pockets and hard covers.

Es un librito cuadrado de 3”, hecho de una cartulina de 12” x 12”. Es uno de esos libritos llamados “W”, se hace marcando 16 cuadrados, cortando un poco y doblando el libro en forma de acordeón. El álbum tiene 3 bolsillos de lado y cubiertas duras.

Workshops with Donna Downey

Hello!!! I'm so happy to share this new project with you...

I attended 3 workshops with Donna Downey last weekend and I'm extremely happy to have done it. It was worth it!

The event was organized by Bambola Casa Creativa, and they did a great job, thank you girls!

The first workshop was called: Paint.Watercolor.Doodle. And that’s what we did…paint, watercolor…and the doodling was done at home because we didn’t have time to get there.

I really enjoyed it and love the results. I finished it with the help of my 4 year-old daughter, who kept asking me questions about how my teacher knows how to make all this cool stuff.

The other 2 workshops were great as well, but I still need to work some more to show you everything.

Be very Happy

This is a beautiful layout made on fabric, and most of the embellishments are also made with fabrics. It’s gorgeous, you have to see it and touch it. I made with one of Donna Downey’s kits; it’s called Happiness page fabric kit. I bought it to see something coming from her, I really like her work and I wanted to have a feeling of working with her because I’ll be taking one of her classes in October. I can’t wait.

I tried to follow all of her instructions to get the same result. When I show it to people they just love it….so do I!

Class: Tags

Last week I had an amazing class teaching a little bit of different techniques. We worked on 4 similar tags, using Distress Inks, Perfect Pearls, acrylic stamps: the Stamps of Life and Heroarts.

We had fun mixing colors, making mistakes and fixing them, and trying to use different ideas on this set of similar tags.

I'm really proud of my wonderful student Fabiana.
